WHAT GLUCOSAMINE IS USED FOR
It
is
used
as
adjuvant
therapy
for
osteoarthritis,
a
type
of
joint
disorder
where
painful
and
stiffness
of
joints
occurred due to the breakdown of cushions
in the joint, called cartilage.
HOW GLUCOSAMINE WORKS
Glucosamine
is
a
cellulose-like
product
found naturally in the body. It is used for
the formation of cartilage.
BEFORE YOU USE GLUCOSAMINE
_- When you must not use it _
Do not take Glucosamine if you:
•
are
allergic
to
any
ingredient
in
this
medicine.
•
plan to use it for children.
•
think that it is a replacement for the
non-steroidal
anti-inflammatory
drug
(NSAID).

_- Before you start to use it _
Tell
your
doctor
or
pharmacist
before
using Glucosamine if you:
•
are pregnant or plan to pregnant.
•
are
breast-feeding
or
plan
to
start
breast-feeding.
•
are taking any medicines for treating
high blood sugar level, cancer, and/or
medicines
for
prevention
of
blood
clotting.
•
are taking any NSAID drugs.
•
have severe liver or kidney problems.

Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines, including any that you
buy
without
a
prescription
from
a
pharmacy,
supermarket
or
health
food
shop.
HOW TO USE GLUCOSAMINE
_- How much to use _
2 capsules to be taken 2 times daily.
Daily recommended dose is 1500mg.
The recommended therapy duration are
2-3
months
and
may
be
repeated
at
intervals of 2 months.

all

given
to
you
by
your
doctor
and
pharmacist
carefully.
