INDICATIONS: An anthelmintic to be given orally for use as an aid in
the treatment and/or prevention of
roundworms (nematodes) (_Toxocara canis _and _Toxascaris leonina_) in
dogs and puppies 6 weeks of age or
older.
ACTIVE INGREDIENT: 250 mg Piperazine (as Piperazine Citrate) per
teaspoon (5 mL)
INACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Caramel Flavour, Glycerin, Methylparaben,
Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Saccharin,
Water, Xanthan Gum
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Consult your veterinarian in the diagnosis,
treatment and control of parasitism.
Dogs and puppies (6 weeks or older): ½ teaspoon (tsp.) per 2.3 kg (5
lbs) of body weight. After initial dose on
day one, do not administer again until day 14. On day 14, repeat
initial dose. Then administer every 30 days
to help prevent re-infection. For puppies, administer dose every 14
days until 8 to 12 weeks of age, then
monthly to 6 months of age, then every 30 days to help prevent
re-infection. Treatment should be given
shortly after pet has eaten or with food. Dosage may be given directly
in the mouth or added to food. For
multiple dog households, give directly to individual dog or puppy to
ensure proper dosage.
NOTE: A ½ tsp. is included for ease of administration.
