PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Watsons Pain Relief EXTRA Caplet is a white, modified capsule-shaped,
0.662” x 0.300” in
diameter, convex, bisected line on one side and plain on the other
side. The score line/bisected
line only serves to facilitate breaking for ease of swallowing and
divide the tablet into equal
half-doses (if required).
WHAT IS THE MEDICINE
Paracetamol is a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic with
minimal anti-inflammatory
properties. Caffeine is a CNS stimulant. The combination of
paracetamol and caffeine is a
well-established analgesic combination.
PRODUCT FORMULATION
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: each caplet contains Paracetamol 500mg and
Caffeine 65mg
EXCIPIENTS: Corn Starch, Povidone K-30, Magnesium Stearate, Sodium
Starch Glycolate
INDICATIONS
For extra relief from stronger pain, like bad headache, backache,
joint pain and toothache.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration only.
ADULTS AND CHILDREN OVER 12 YEARS: 1-2 caplets every 4 to 6 hours as
required.
Do not exceed the stated dose and do not take more frequently than
every 4 hours.
Do not give to children under 12 years.
Do not take more than 8 caplets in 24 hours.
Do not take more than 3 days without asking your doctors.
Always use the lowest effect dose to relieve your symptoms.
Do not take this medicine if you are taking any other prescription or
non-prescription medicines
containing paracetamol to treat pain, fever, symptoms of cold and flu.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
Stop using this medicine and tell your doctor immediately if:
• You experience allergic reactions such as skin rash or itching,
sometimes with breathing
problems or swelling of the lips, tongue, throat or face.
• You experience a skin rash, reaction, peeling or mouth ulcers.
Symptoms of serious skin
reactions may include skin reddening, rash, blisters, and separation
of the upper surface of the
skin from the lower layers. These serious skin reactions are r
