Vinevax Bio-dowel is a biological agent that contains selected
proprietary strains of
_Trichoderma _
_atroviride_
, a naturally occurring fungal control organism, formulated as a
slow-release implant for the
prevention and treatment of diseases caused by wood-invading trunk
pathogen in grapevines and fruit
trees. These strains of Trichoderma have been shown to reside within
the woody tissue of the vine or
tree for extended periods and protect against trunk diseases such as
dying arm (
_Eutypa lata_
), black dead
arm (
_Botryosphaeria stevensii_
), and silver leaf (
_Chondrostereum purpureum_
).

DRILL A 6MM DIAMETER HOLE 28MM DEEP at a slight upward angle
into the trunk of the vine or tree and insert the Vinevax dowel to
be flush with the exterior surface of the bark.

GRAPEVINES
For reconstruction of the vine, drill the hole as close as possible
to ground level, or 25-50mm below the position of a suitable
water shoot. For protection of the cordon drill the hole in the
trunk 50mm below the crown. If symptoms persist repeat the
treatment the following season.
STONE AND PIPFRUIT TREES
