1. WHAT VENO’S EXPECTORANT IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR 
Veno's Expectorant contains guaifenesin which is an expectorant. It is
effective at 
relieving chesty, bronchial coughs without causing drowsiness. It
eases congestion, 
loosening phlegm and chesty catarrh.
Veno's Expectorant also contains liquid glucose and treacle which are
demulcents. 
They soothe and protect sore, irritated throats.
Veno’s Expectorant is for use in adults and children over 12 years
of age.
2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU TAKE VENO’S EXPECTORANT

2 QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION
Excipients with known effects
Contains 2.5 mg/5 ml sodium metabisulphite.

3 PHARMACEUTICAL FORM
Oral solution.
Dark brown viscous oral solution.
4 CLINICAL PARTICULARS
4.1 THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
For use as an expectorant and demulcent in the treatment of productive cough in adults and children over 12 years of
age.
4.2 POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Posology
_Adults (including elderly) and children aged 12 years and over:_
Fill the measure cup to the 10ml mark (two 5ml teaspoonfuls) and repeat every 2 - 3 hours.
Not more than 4 doses should be given in any 24 hours.
_Paediatric population_
The safety and efficacy in children under 12 years of age have not been established.No data are available.
Method of administration
Shake the bottle before use.
Oral administration only.
Do not exceed the stated dose.
Should not be used with other cough and cold medicines.

4.3 CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to guaifenesin, treacle, glucose or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1.
Contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.
