GENERAL INFORMATION
Velpar DF herbicide is a dry flowable granule to be mixed in water and
applied as a
spray for selective weed control in Radiata Pine and established
lucerne. Velpar DF
may also be used for control of annual and perennial weeds and brush
growing on
non-cropland areas such as railways, roadsides, timber yards, storage
areas,
industrial sites around silos and sheep yards. Results obtained may
vary with the
amount of chemical applied, rainfall, temperature, soil and other
conditions. Velpar
DF is more effective in warm weather. Results can be disappointing if
application is
made during cool or cold weather.
DIRECTIONS
Apply Velpar DF as a spray after the weeds have emerged and are
growing actively.
Application when vegetation is dormant or semi-dormant may not be as
effective.
Apply Velpar DF with a well maintained, accurately calibrated boom
sprayer (ground
or aerial) or spot application equipment. Before spraying calibrate
equipment to
determine the quantity of water necessary to uniformly and thoroughly
cover the
vegetation in a measured area to be treated. Measure the proper amount
of Velpar
DF herbicide and mix into necessary volume of water. Agitation during
mixing and
application is required to keep the product in suspension.
