Valuheart Monthly Heartworm Tablets prevent heartworm disease in dogs
by
eliminating the tissue stage of heartworm larvae (_Dirofilaria
immitis_) that infected the
dog in the month (30 days) before treatment.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
CONTRAINDICATION
THIS PRODUCT SHOULD NOT BE USED IN PUPPIES UNDER 6 WEEKS OF AGE.
PRECAUTIONS
CONSULT A VETERINARIAN BEFORE USE. TREATMENT SHOULD OCCUR AT REGULAR
MONTHLY
INTERVALS. DOGS SHOULD BE TESTED AND BE FREE OF ADULT HEARTWORM AND
MICROFILARIAE PRIOR
TO STARTING HEARTWORM PREVENTION. ADVERSE REACTIONS MAY OCCUR WHEN
ADMINISTERING
THIS PRODUCT TO DOGS FOR THE PREVENTION OF HEARTWORM DISEASE.
Valuheart Monthly Heartworm Tablets are not effective against adult
_Dirofilaria immitis_,
but treatment may reduce the number of circulating microfilariae to
levels that are
undetectable. A mild hypersensitivity reaction, presumably due to dead
or dying
microfilariae, and particularly involving a transient diarrhoea, has
been observed in
clinical trials after treatment of some dogs that have circulating
microfilariae.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION.
Give one tablet per 10kg bodyweight orally at monthly intervals. Use
the enclosed stickers on
your calendar each month as a reminder of when to give the tablet.
