WHAT UPHADYL FORTE IS
USED FOR
Uphadyl Forte is indicated for the
relief
of
cough
and
stuffy nose
due to common cold, flu, allergy
or airway inflammation.
HOW UPHADYL FORTE
WORKS
UPHADYL FORTE contains two
active
ingredients
which
work
together to relieve coughs.
Diphenhydramine
is
an
antihistamine and suppresses the
urge
to
cough
and
also
dries
secretions in the nose and chest.
Ammonium
chloride
is
an
expectorant
which
makes
coughing up phlegm easier.

YOU
USE

not
take
UPHADYL
FORTE:
•
if you have an allergy to any
of the ingredients listed at
the end of this leaflet
•
if you are taking a class of
medicine
known
as
'monoamine
oxidase
inhibitors'
(MAOIs)
(often
taken for depression.
•
If
your
child
is
below
2
years old
•
If you are breast feeding
Do not take this medicine after
the expiry date printed on the
pack or if the packaging is torn
or shows signs of tampering. If
it has expired or is damaged,
return it to your pharmacist for
disposal.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist
for
advice
before
taking
any
medicine.
