What Tricoderm Ointment is used
for
Tricoderm Ointment is used for the
topical treatment of eczema,
inflammatory of the skin with fungal
infection. Inflammatory of the skin
caused by yeasts, fungi and molds
unresponsive to less potent
corticosteroids.
How Tricoderm Ointment works
Tricoderm Ointment is a combination
of broad spectrum antifungal,
Econazole Nitrate and topical
corticosteroid, Triamcinolone
Acetonide with anti-inflammatory,
anti-itch and anti-allergic effects.
Before you use Tricoderm Ointment
- When you must not use it
Do not use if you are hypersensitive to
imidazole, corticosteroids or any other
ingredients in this product.
Contraindicated in cases of
tuberculous, luetic or virus infections
of the skin or varicose veins.
Safety in pregnancy and lactation has
not been established. Do not use if you
are pregnant or likely to become
pregnant unless the expected benefits
outweigh the potential risk.
- Before you start to use it
Do not use Tricoderm Ointment to treat
any other conditions unless your doctor
or pharmacist tells you so.
- Taking other medicines
Do not use other skin products on the
affected area.
How to use Tricoderm Ointment
- How much to use
Apply sparingly to the affected areas twice
a day until improvement occurs. It may then
be possible to maintain improvement by
applying once a day, or even less often.
- When to use it
You should follow the recommended dose
and should not use more than the prescribed
dose.
- How long to use it
If no improvement is observed in 1 week,
you should stop application and consult
doctor.
- If you forget to use it
If you forget to use Tricoderm Ointment,
use it as soon as you remember.
