Contraindications:
Contraindicated for use unless cobalt deficiency is confirmed.
Contraindicated for use in sheep that are dehydrated or unwell and
lambs under 8 weeks of
age.
Precautions:
Important: Do not use excessive force when dosing in order to avoid
trauma and damage to
the throat of animals.
Side Effects:
Dosage and
Administration:
Sheep all ages - 1 pellet every 3 years.
Preventive treatment:
Adult sheep: Dose as soon as convenient. Repeat dose on veterinary
advice.
Young sheep: Dose as soon as convenient after 8 weeks of age. RLP APPROVED
Corrective treatment:
Sheep all ages: Dose immediately. Repeat dose on veterinary advice.
General Directions:
Administer using a balling gun that delivers the pellet into the
gullet. To be effective pellets
must be swallowed. To prevent a coating forming on the pellet which
may reduce the
release of cobalt where this product is used alone, a steel grinder
should be administered
to maintain the surface of the pellet clean and active. Another
mineral pellet such as
selenium pellets may also be administered and will also provide a
grinding action to keep
the pellets clean and active.
