Please read this entire leaflet carefully before using this medicine
Tiger Balm Red, Tiger Balm White
Ointment
Composition:
Active ingredients:
Tiger Balm Red contains (w/w(:
Camphor 11%, Menthol 10%, Cajuput Oil 7%, Dementholised Mint Oil 6%,
Clove Oil 5%.
Tiger Balm White contains (w/w(:
Dementholised Mint Oil 16%, Cajuput Oil 13%, Camphor 11%, Menthol 8%,
Clove Oil 1.5%.
Inactive ingredients:
Hard paraffin, Yellow soft paraffin.
Tiger Balm Red also contains: Cinnamon oil.
Therapeutic activity:
The ointment is intended for temporary relief of muscular aches and pains.
When should this medicine not be used?
Do not use this medicine if you are hypersensitive to any of its ingredients.
Do not use on children under 2 years of age.
Do not use this medicine without consulting a doctor before starting
treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Excessive use during pregnancy or
breastfeeding should be avoided.
Warnings:
Do not apply to damaged, wounded or irritated skin. In any case you experience
signs of skin injury on the applied area )e.g. pain, swelling or appearance of blisters(,
you should stop the use and refer to your doctor immediately!
Avoid contact with the eyes, mucous membranes and other sensitive areas.
Wash hands immediately after use.
If there is a need to bandage do not tighten.
If you are sensitive to any type of food or medicine, inform your doctor before using
the ointment.
Side effects :
In addition to the desired effect of the medicine, side effects may also appear during
the course of using this medicine. These may include: allergic reaction including
contact dermatitis.
If these side effects persist or are bothersome, please consult your doctor.
The following side effects require special attention:
Irritations )rare( – stop the treatment and refer to your doctor!
Since the preparation contains menthol, in rare cases skin injuries such as burns at
the application area can occur. In any case you experience signs of skin injury on the
applied area )e.g. pain, swelling or appearance of blisters(, you should stop the use
and refer to your doctor immediately!
If at any time you experience side effects that are not mentioned in this leaflet, or if
you feel an adverse change in your general health, consult your doctor immediately!
Recommended dosage unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor:
Apply gently to the painful area as needed )usually two to three times a day(. Do not
exceed the recommended dose. If there is no improvement in your condition after 7
days, refer to your doctor.
Attention:
This medicine is intended for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, mucous
membranes, wounded skin and other sensitive areas. See also 'Warnings' section.
The ointment may stain the clothes.
Directions for use:
Apply gently to the painful area. In order to avoid an allergic reaction, perform a test
on a small area before use.
Wash hands immediately after use. See also 'Warnings' section.
Avoid poisoning!
This medicine, and all other medicines, must be stored in a safe place out of the reach
of children and/or infants, to avoid poisoning.
If you have taken an overdose, or if a child has accidentally swallowed the medicine,
proceed immediately to a hospital emergency room and bring the package of the
medicine with you. Do not induce vomiting unless explicitly instructed to do so by a
doctor.
Do not use or take medicines in the dark! Carefully check the label and the dose each
time you take any medication. Wear glasses if you need them.
Storage: store below 25°C.
Even if stored properly according to the manufacturer's recommendations, all
medicines have a limited shelf life. The medicine may be used for up to 6 months
from the initial opening of the jar, but no later than the expiry date impressed on the
package. Please pay attention to the expiry date of your medicine! If you have any
doubts, please consult the dispensing pharmacist. Do not store different medicines in
the same container.
