WARNING
Syonell, valproate semisodium, can seriously harm an unborn child when
taken during pregnancy.
If you are a female able to have a baby, you must use effective method
of birth control
(contraception) without interruptions during your entire treatment
with Syonell. Your doctor will
discuss this with you, but you must also follow the advice in section
2 of this leaflet.
Schedule an urgent appointment with your doctor if you want to become
pregnant or if you think
you are pregnant.
Do not stop taking Syonell unless your doctor tells you to as your
condition may become worse.

What Syonell is
The name of your medicine is Syonell 250mg Gastro-Resistant tablets or
500mg Gastro-Resistant

Syonell 500 mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets
2. Qualitative and quantitative composition
Containing 538.12mg of valproate semisodium* per tablet (equivalent to
500mg of valproic acid).
*Valproate semisodium is a stable coordination compound comprised of
sodium valproate and valproic acid
in a 1:1 molar relationship. It is also known as divalproex sodium
(USAN).
Excipient(s) with known effect:
Sodium 37.03 mg (see section 4.4).
