Net Contents: 1 L 250 mL Directions for Use: Restraints: DO NOT USE in horses that may be used for human consumption. Contraindications: Precautions: A few horses, particularly those of the fine-skinned Arab type, may react adversely to treatment with SHIELD. In such individuals, a small patch test is recommended to assess the sensitivity of a horse's skin to SHIELD. Apply a small stripe of SHIELD (10-15 cm long) at the base of the horse's neck and observe the area for 3 days. If no reaction occurs, it is safe to apply SHIELD at the recommended dose rate. If any subsequent adverse reaction occurs, treatment must be stopped immediately and the horse washed with a large volume of cold water. Any resulting skin irritation or reaction is normally short-lived. However, if the irritation persists, seek veterinary advice. Apply SHIELD during the cooler part of the day, preferably in the shade. Skin reactions may occur if product is applied during hot weather. RLP APPROVED When treating horses within a group, it is recommended to separate each individual horse for 24 hours after application. This is to minimise the opportunity of eye contact with SHIELD by mutual grooming.
