Selenium Sulfide USP 2.5 % w/v, buffered shampoo base q.s.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Light orange coloured viscous liquid with perfume odour.
4.
PHARMACODYNAMICS/PHARMOCOKINETICS/ENVIRONMENTAL PROPERTIES:
Selenium sulphide has antifungal and antiseborrhoeic properties. It is
used as a shampoo
in the treatment of dandruff and Seborrhoeic dermatitis of the scalp.

INDICATION:
DOGS
For supportive treatment in case of Seborrhoeic dermatitis.
Helpful in treating dandruff.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE/ DIRECTION FOR USE:
- Wet the hair coat thoroughly with lukewarm water.
- Shake the container before use. Mix 10ml to 100 ml shampoo depending
upon the size
of the animal with ¼ to 1 cup of warm water. Lather well into the
coat and skin,
particularly on affected area. Avoid contact with eyes and genital
organ. Do not allow
the animal to lick the suspension.
- Leave the suspension in contact for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse
thoroughly and dry.
- Treatment should be repeated at intervals of 4-7 days, if necessary
or as directed by the
Veterinarian

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Not to be used in case of known hypersensitivity to the active
substance.

WARNING AND PRECAUTIONS:
- Keep it out of reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical advice.
- Avoid contact with eyes and genital organs.

INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER MEDICAMENTS:
The product can adversely affect painted or coated metals.

STATEMENT ON USAGE DURING PREGNANCY AND LACTATION:
Should not use in pregnant animals

ADVERSE EFFECTS/ UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS:
Very rarely, it has been reported that white-coated animals may turn
pink following the
use of this product. In such case, it is recommended to rinse the hair
coat thoroughly with
sufficient amount of lukewarm water or use conditioning shampoo, if
required.

Store in cool, dry place. Do not store above 25 ° C.
