The product FLUID CONTROL Arthro 2204 PUMP is an irrigation pump for diagnostic and /or surgical arthroscopic procedures. The irrigation pump serves to distend and irrigate joints in the knee, shoulder, hip, elbow, as well the wrist and ankle joint. While in spine mode, the product FLUID CONTROL Arthro 2204 is an irrigation and suction pump designed for use in endoscopic spinal surgery for the surgical treatment of degenerative spine diseases. The irrigation pump is used here to produce a continuous flow of the irrigation fluid through the irrigation channel of the Richard Wolf discoscope (VERTEBRIS series) connected to the inlet tube for the optimal endoscopic visualization of the intervertebral disc and spinal canal. The suction pump is used to create a vacuum in a vacuum container. The tubes and the cannulated suction instruments connected to this container serve to extract fluids, secretions, and particles from the surgical field.
