All breeds of rabbits in Australia and New Zealand are derived from _Oryctolagus_ _ _ _cuniculus _and are therefore potentially susceptible to infection with rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV1). A vaccine to protect pet and farmed rabbits from RHDV1 is available from your local veterinarian.
