PROTRACE MULTI CAPSULES provide a supplementary source of copper,
cobalt
and selenium in a single capsule and are indicated for the treatment
and prevention
of mineral deficiencies and treatment of responsive conditions in
adult sheep.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
This product is contraindicated for use in sheep less than eight weeks
of age.
This product should not be administered to animals of unknown copper
status or
those treated with any other source of copper in the previous 12
months.
This product should not be administered to sheep suffering from any
form of liver
disease such as jaundice or liver fluke or to sheep grazing plants
containing toxic
alkaloids, e.g. Heliotrope, Ragwort or Paterson’s Curse (Salvation
Jane).
This product should not be used when selenium intake from pasture is
high or
selenium is provided by other means (such as pasture top dressing,
vaccine, pellets
or selenium drenches) and if blood selenium levels at treatment exceed
2000nmol/L.
