NAME OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT
Pikovit forte coated tablets

QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION
Each coated tablet contains:
-
5000 IU of vitamin A (retinolum) as retinyl palmitate,
-
400 IU of cholecalciferol (cholecalciferolum, vitamin D
3
),
-
60 mg of ascorbic acid (acidum ascorbicum, vitamin C),
-
20 mg of nicotinamide (nicotinamidum),
-
15 mg of α-tocopheryl acetate (α-tocopheroli acetas, vitamin E),
-
10 mg of calcium pantothenate (calcii pantothenas),
-
2.00 mg of pyridoxine hydrochloride (pyridoxini chloridum, vitamin B
6
),
-
1.70 mg of riboflavin (riboflavinum, vitamin B
2
),
-
1.50 mg of thiamine nitrate (thiamini nitras, vitamin B
1
),
-
0.40 mg of folic acid (acidum folicum),
-

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM
Coated tablets.
The tablets are round, biconvex, orange.

CLINICAL PARTICULARS
4.1
THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
Pikovit forte coated tablets are recommended in increased needs for
vitamins and as a supplement to
inadequate or poor diet:
-
in excessive tiredness and poor concentration in school children,
-
in physical activities (active and recreational sports),
-
in irregular and one-sided diet,
-
in lack of or decreased appetite,
-
as an adjunct to antibiotic therapy,
-
as a dietary vitamin supplement during seasons when there is a lack of
fresh fruits and
vegetables.
Pikovit forte is not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet.
4.2
POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Children over 7 years of age should take 1 coated tablet a day after a
meal.
They should dissolve Pikovit forte coated tablets in the mouth.
In case of poor appetite, the coated tablets should be taken for 2
months, whereas in other conditions,
they should be taken when needed.
