1.3.1 Pikovit D SPC, Labeling and Package Leaflet SmPCPIL070689_3 19.02.2016 – Updated: 12.04.2016 Page 1 of 6 1. NAME OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT Pikovit D lozenges 2. QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION Each tablet contains: - 600 IU of vitamin A (retinolum) as retinyl palmitate, - 80 IU of cholecalciferol (cholecalciferolum, vitamin D 3 ), - 10 mg of ascorbic acid (acidum ascorbicum, vitamin C), - 0.25 mg of thiamine nitrate (thiamini nitras, vitamin B 1 ), - 0.30 mg of riboflavin (riboflavinum, vitamin B 2 ), - 0.30 mg of pyridoxine hydrochloride (pyridoxini hydrochloridum, vitamin B 6 ), - 0.20 µg of cyanocobalamin (cyanocobalaminum, vitamin B 12 ), - 3 mg of nicotinamide (nicotinamidum), - 1.2 mg of calcium pantothenate (calcii pantothenas), - 0.04 mg of folic acid (acidum folicum), - 12.5 mg of calcium (calcium) as anhydrous calcium hydrogen phosphate, - 10 mg of phosphorus (phosphorus) as anhydrous calcium hydrogen phosphate. Excipients: - maltitol (E965): 449.18 mg/tablet - liquid maltitol: 461.00 mg/tablet For a full list of excipients, see section 6.1. 3. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM Lozenges. The tablets are round, biconvex, yellow, orange, green and red. 4. CLINICAL PARTICULARS 4.1 THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS Pikovit D lozenges are intended for the prevention of vitamin and mineral deficiency mainly for children: - to enhance body's resistance to infections and during colds, - in the convalescence period after illness, - in increased physical and mental strains, - in excessive tiredness in school children, - in decreased appetite, - in irregular and inadequate diet, - as an adjunct after antibiotic therapy. 4.2 POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION Children from 4 to 6 years of age: 1 lozenge 4 to 5 times a day. Children from 7 to 14 years of age: 1 lozenge 5 times to7 times daily.
