For treatment of susceptible infections of the respiratory tract, urogenital tract, the skin and localised infections in soft tissue of dogs and cats, and of the gastrointestinal tract in dogs. When susceptible organisms are present KEFVET may be effective in the treatment of infections of the respiratory tract, urogenital tract, the skin and localised infections in soft tissue. In dogs, it may also be effective in the treatment of infections of the gastrointestinal tract. Resistance may develop to any antimicrobial. Net Contents: 10 [100 / 300] tablets Directions for Use: Restraints: Contraindications: This product is contraindicated in animals that are hypersensitive to cephalosporins and penicillins. Precautions: Use with caution in cases of known renal insufficiency as accumulation may occur in the kidneys when renal function is impaired. Dose should be reduced. RLP APPROVED Side Effects: Some dogs may exhibit nausea and vomiting. Dosage and Administration: The recommended oral dose rate is 10 to 15 mg/kg bodyweight twice daily for 5 days. In severe or acute conditions the dose may be safely doubled, or given at more frequent intervals. Treatment for five days is recommended but this may be extended or shortened at the discretion of the veterinary surgeon. Discard split tablets within 24 hours.
