EFFECTS FROM ACUTE EXPOSURE
INGESTION:
May be harmful by ingestion. Ingestion can result in nausea, vomiting,
diarrhoea, abdominal pain and convulsions.
EYE:
Granular solid or dust causes burns and is a severe eye irritant.
Contamination of
eyes can result in permanent injury.
SKIN:
Contact with skin may cause burns and may result in redness or
blistering.
INHALATION
: May be harmful by dust inhalation. Inhalation of dust may result in
respiratory irritation and possible harmful effects Chlorine evolved
from decomposition
when wet is a severe respiratory irritant, corrosive and highly toxic.
Delayed effects can
include shortness of breath, violent headaches, pulmonary oedema and
pneumonia.
