Therapeutic indications:

Odontopaste is a water soluble, white, non-staining paste. The active ingredients are Clindamycin and Triamcinolone. Clindamycin is a broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic while Triamcinolone is a steroid based anti-inflammatory agent. Odontopaste is used within the root canal to aid in disinfecting the dentinal walls. It allows for healing and hence a reduction in inflammatory exudate so that a dry surface can be presented to the adhesives & sealers that are used to seal the canal. Odontopaste is designed to diffuse through the dentine in order to kill any remaining microbes.
