VETERINARY USE ONLY
ANTIBIOTIC
DESCRIPTION: Oxytetracycline hydrochloride 200 mg/g and neomycin
sulfate 200 mg/g (equivalent to 140 mg of
neomycin base) in a water soluble base.
INDICATIONS: As an aid in the treatment of infections caused by
microorganisms which are susceptible to
oxytetracycline hydrochloride and neomycin sulfate.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: _To reduce the development of antimicrobial
resistance and maintain _
_effectiveness, use this antibiotic prudently and for the shortest
duration required to achieve the desired clinical _
_outcome._
CHICKENS AND TURKEYS: CHRONIC RESPIRATORY DISEASE (CRD):_ _TREATMENT:
Administer 50 - 100 g/200 L (44
gallons) of drinking water for 5 days. TURKEYS: 1) INFECTIOUS
SYNOVITIS: TREATMENT: 100 g/200 L (44 gallons) of
drinking water for 5 days. PREVENTION: Administer 50-100 g/200 L (44
gallons) of drinking water during expected
exposure to infection. 2) INFECTIOUS SINUSITIS: TREATMENT: Administer
50-100 g/ 200 L (44 gallons) of drinking
water for 3-5 days.
NOTE: 1. In the prevention of these diseases in chickens and turkeys,
use level is dependent on condition of birds
and past history of disease incidence. 2. In the treatment of these
diseases in chickens and turkeys, use level and
duration of medications depend on severity of disease outbreak and
response to treatment level used.
SWINE: BACTERIAL ENTERITIS,_ _SWINE DYSENTERY AND SALMONELLOSIS:
TREATMENT: Administer 100 g/200 L (44
gallons) of drinking water for 4 to 5 days_. _PREVENTION: Administer
50 g/200 L (44 gallons) of drinking water for 4 to
5 days. BACTERIAL RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS: TREATMENT: Administer 100
