Moxibustion is the practice of using part of the mugwort plant (artemesia vulgaris)used as a part of traditional Chinese treatments for moxibustion therapy, the slow combustion of the plant as a heat treatment on acupuncture/meridian points. Moxibustion is typically applied directly to or above the skin, or onto acupuncture needle handles to heat the needle. It is supplied in various forms (eg: in rolls, with adhesive backing, as loose fibres/threads, or in a charcoaled form). This is a single-use device.
