EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine delays digestion/absorption of carbohydrate by
suppressing the action of a
digestive enzyme that degrades carbohydrate, thereby suppressing rapid
increases in blood
glucose levels after meals.
It is usually used to improve postprandial hyperglycemia in diabetes
mellitus.
THE FOLLOWING PATIENTS MAY NEED TO BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS
MEDICINE.BE SURE TO TELL YOUR DOCTOR
AND PHARMACIST.
・If you have previously experienced any allergic reactions (itch,
rash, etc.) to any medicines
or foods.
If you have ketosis (deep massive breath, loss of consciousness,
shivering of hands, etc.),
diabetic coma or precoma, infections or injury.
If you are in the pre-/post-operative period.
・If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or possibly pregnant.
・If you are taking any other medicinal products. (Some medicines may
interact to enhance or
diminish medicinal effects. Beware of over-the-counter medicines and
dietary supplements
as well as other prescription medicines.)
