propulsive peristalsis, and increasing intestinal transit time.
Loperamide increases the tone of the anal

Pharmacodynamics
Loperamide prolongs the transit time of the intestinal contents. It
reduces daily fecal volume, increases
the viscosity and bulk density, and dim
