SAFETY DIRECTIONS: Harmful if inhaled or swallowed. Will
irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do
not inhale vapour. When using the product wear elbow length
butyl rubber gloves and goggles. If product in eyes wash it out
immediately with water. If product on skin, immediately wash
area with soap and water. After use and before eating, drinking
or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap
and water. After each day's use wash goggles, gloves and
contaminated clothing.
LICE ‘N’ SIMPLE POUR-ON EQUINE LOUSICIDE is an easy-to-apply,
safe, and effective treatment for the control of biting lice
_Werneckiella _
_(Bovicola) equi_ on horses. It controls biting lice _(W. equi)_ on
horses by
preventing the development of immature lice in the coat and those
which hatch from eggs. LICE ‘N’ SIMPLE POUR-ON EQUINE
LOUSICIDE is an insect growth regulator (IGR) not a knock-down
insecticide. It produces a rapid decline in lice numbers with trial
data
demonstrating lice control by 7 weeks post treatment. Rainfastness on
horses has not been demonstrated.

TECHNICAL NOTES
ACTIVE CONSTITUENTS
Triflumuron 25 g/L
ACTIONS
Contains the insect growth regulator triflumuron, which interferes
with insect chitin synthesis and acts primarily against immature lice,
causing death by rupturing the malformed cuticle and/or by insect
starvation.
INDICATIONS
Effective control of biting lice _Werneckiella_ (also known as
_Damalinia_ or _Bovicola_) _equi_ on horses, with a single treatment.
WARNINGS
Do not contaminate dams, ponds, rivers, waterways or drains with
pesticide or used containers. Can be detrimental to certain plastics,
paints and surface finishes. Avoid contact with such surfaces.
Rainfastness on horses has not been demonstrated.
PRECAUTIONS
Use with caution on horses with existing dermatitis or broken skin.
WITHHOLDING PERIODS
MEAT (HORSES): Do not use less than 28 days before slaughter for human
consumption.

TECHNICAL NOTES
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Dose horse at 1 mL/10 kg bodyweight. Do not underdose. Using the
measuring cup provided, apply in a single
continuous strip down the middle of the backline from the poll to the
highest point of the rump. In particular
ensure good coverage to the roots of the mane. Do not hose the horse
for at least 72 hours after treatment.
Treatment during the hottest part of the day is not recommended.
FIRST AID
If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre on
13 1126.
