LECTADE PLUS
CALF SCOUR TREATMENT
LECTADE PLUS
is an improved non-antibacterial rehydration therapy for the
prevention and treatment of
scouring in calves.
LECTADE PLUS
gives more rapid intestinal absorption of water, more effective
treatment
of acidosis and increased energy content
. LECTADE PLUS
acts by actively reversing the process of
dehydration, acidosis and loss of electrolytes associated with
diarrhoea whether caused by bacteria,
viruses, cryptosporidia or poor nutrition.
PREPARATION:
EACH LECTADE PLUS SACHET IS DIVIDED INTO TWO SECTIONS.
ADD THE CONTENTS OF SECTION 1 AND SECTION 2 TO 2 LITRES OF WARM WATER.
THE CONTENTS OF SECTION 1 AND SECTION 2 MUST ALWAYS BE USED TOGETHER.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
BY LAW THE USER MUST TAKE DUE CARE, OBTAINING EXPERT ADVICE WHEN
NECESSARY, TO AVOID UNNECESSARY
PAIN AND DISTRESS WHEN USING THE PRODUCT OTHER THAN AS DIRECTED ON THE
LABEL.
SCOURING CALVES:
Immediately scour symptoms show, withdraw milk/milk replacer and feed
a minimum
of 2 litres of solution a minimum of twice a day for two days. For the
next four feeds use one litre of
LECTADE PLUS with one litre of milk/milk replacer. LECTADE PLUS may be
fed mixed 50:50 with
Lectade Plus (NZ)

milk/milk replacer or given as alternate feeds. Thereafter feed normal
diet. LECTADE PLUS may be
used on its own for a maximum of four days. LECTADE PLUS may be used
with antibacterials.
