Health Products Regulatory Authority 27 July 2018 CRN000YJ8 Page 1 of 8 SUMMARY OF PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS 1 NAME OF THE VETERINARY MEDICINAL PRODUCT Ivomec Classic Injection for Cattle and Sheep 10 mg/ml 2 QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION Ivermectin 10 mg/ml For a full list of excipients see section 6.1 3 PHARMACEUTICAL FORM Solution for injection. 4 CLINICAL PARTICULARS 4.1 TARGET SPECIES Cattle and sheep. 4.2 INDICATIONS FOR USE, SPECIFYING THE TARGET SPECIES IVOMEC Classic Injection is indicated for the effective treatment and control of the following harmful species of gastro-intestinal roundworms, lungworms, eye worms, warbles, lice and mange mites of cattle and sheep: CATTLE Gastrointestinal roundworms (adult and fourth-stage larvae): _Ostertagia_ spp. (including inhibited _O. ostertagi_) _Haemonchus placei_ _Trichostrongylus axei_ _T. colubriformis_ _Cooperia_ spp. _Oesophagostomum radiatum_ _Strongyloides papillosus _(adult) _Nematodirus helvetianus _(adult) _N. spathiger _(adult) _Bunostomum phlebotomum_ _Toxocara vitulorum_ _Trichuris_ spp. (adult) Lungworms (adult and fourth-stage larvae): Health Products Regulatory Authority 27 July 2018 CRN000YJ8 Page 2 of 8 _Dictyocaulus viviparus_ Eye worms (adult): _Thelazia_ spp. Warbles: _Hypoderma bovis_ _H. lineatum_ Mange mites: _Psoroptes bovis_ _Sarcoptes scabiei var. bovis_ Sucking lice: _Linognathus vituli_ _Haematopinus eurysternus_ _Solenopotes capillatus_ IVOMEC Classic Injection may also be used as an aid in the control of biting lice (_Damalinia bovis_) and the mange mite (_Chorioptes bovis_), but complete elimination may not occur.
