INTRACILLIN® LA
For the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections in cattle,
horses, sheep, pigs, dogs and cats.
Each ml contains penicillin G procaine 150,000 I.U. (150 mg) and
penicillin benzathine 150,000 I.U.
(150 mg).

Penicillin G procaine and penicillin benzathine are antibiotics in the
penicillin family and are
considered highly important to human and animal health. Refer to
secondary packaging for further
information.
INDICATIONS
For the treatment of conditions including, but not limited to,
footrot, reproductive tract infections,
renal system infections and skin conditions. Refer to secondary
packaging for indication information
by bacteria and species.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
●
Dairy (lactating) cattle: 25,000 IU/kg (8.5 ml/100 kg) as a single
dose only.
●
Horses and non-lactating cattle: 25,000 IU/kg (8.5 ml/100 kg) once
every 48 hours for up to
three doses.
●
Pigs: 10,000 – 25,000 IU/kg (3.5 to 8.5 ml per 100 kg) once every 48
hours for up to three
doses.
●
Sheep, cats and dogs: 30,000 IU/kg (1 ml/10 kg) once every 48 hours
for up to three doses.
Administer by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection (intramuscular
only in cattle, horses and
pigs). Injection must be given in the anterior half of the neck in
food producing animals. Doses larger
than 20 mL should be divided and half injected on each side of the
neck. Shake well before and
during use.
Not for use in bobby calves.
WITHHOLDING PERIODS
It is an offence for users of this product to cause residues exceeding
the relevant MRL in the Food
