Constituent
Statements:
Each 2 mL dose of vaccine contains ≥ 300 μg GnRF-protein conjugate.
Chlorocresol 1.0 mg/mL has been added as a preservative.
Claims:
For use by or under direction of a registered veterinarian.
Male pigs:
For the production of heavier entire male pigs with improved meat
quality through the
control of boar taint; for behavioural modification which may be
evidenced by increased
weight gain in peripubertal male pigs during the post-vaccination
preslaughter period. This
increased weight gain may also result in increased fat deposition.
Female pigs:
Induction of antibodies against GnRF to produce a temporary
immunological suppression
of ovarian function (suppression of oestrus) in order to reduce the
incidence of unwanted
pregnancies in gilts intended for slaughter, and to reduce the
associated sexual behaviour
(standing oestrus).

This product is contraindicated for use in male and female pig

Inadvertent vaccination of male and female pig breeding stock may

Precautions:
Side Effects:
Some swelling may develop at the site of vaccination, which in a small
proportion of pigs,
may last for several weeks before gradually subsiding.
Dosage and
Administration:
Use the contents within 28 days of first broaching the vial. Discard
the unused portion.
On each subsequent reuse, swab the opening with a suitable
disinfectant (for example,
methylated sprits) both before and after using. See RESEALING section
for more
information.
The dose on all occasions is 2 mL injected subcutaneously (just under
the skin). The
recommended site for injection is at the base of the neck, immediately
behind the ear using
