DESCRIPTION 
The chemical name for candesartan cilexetil is (±)-1-(cyclohexyloxycarbonyl-oxy) 
ethyl 2-ethoxy-1-[[2’-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)biphenyl-4-yl] methyl]-1H-benzimadozole-7- 
carboxylate. 
It is a white to off white powder and is practically insoluble in water.

The chemical name for hydrochlorothiazide is 6-chloro-3,4-dihydro-2H-1,2,4-
benzothiadiazine-7-sulphonamide 1, 1-dioxide. Hydrochlorothiazide is a sulfonamide

soluble in water.
