Date of revision WHAT HOVA EXPECTORANT IS USED FOR For control of cough due to colds or allergy, and alleviation of nasal and bronchial congestion. HOW HOVA EXPECTORANT WORKS This medicine contains three active ingredients (diphenhydramine hydrochloride, ammonium chloride and sodium citrate), which helps to control cough and reduce mucous build up.
