EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE
This medicine is a vitamin B
1
derivative which is more readily utilized in the body than natural
vitamin B
1.
It acts to improve impaired nerve function, heart muscle metabolism
and to
enhance intestinal motility.It is usually used to prevent/treat
vitamin B
1
deficiency, used as a
supplement to inadequate dietary intake of this vitamin, treat
Wernicke's encephalopathy and
heart failure from beriberi.
