FOR THE CONTROL OF POSSUMS AND RODENTS
WARNING: may be harmful if swallowed. Suspected of damaging fertility
or the unborn child. Harmful to aquatic Life.
PRECAUTIONS: keep out of reach of children and away from domestic
animals and foodstuffs. Avoid contact with skin. Wear gloves.
Wash hands after use and before eating, drinking or smoking. If
exposed or concerned: Get medical advice. Exclude dogs from
baiting area as they are very susceptible to cholecalciferol.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Feracol paste has flavour and lure incorporated
during manufacture, no further additives are required.
Use only in bait stations or bait bags. Maintain an uninterrupted
supply of bait until signs of activity ceases. Only a single feed of
Feracol paste is required, the onset of symptoms prevents further
feeding of toxic baits. It is critical that sufficient bait is applied
to
ensure all animals visiting the bait will receive a toxic dose during
one feeding session to help prevent sub-lethal poisoning and the
development of aversion. A pre-feed with non-toxic Ferafeed paste is
strongly recommended to maximise toxic bait uptake. After
pre-feeding replace non-toxic Ferafeed paste with Feracol paste. A
judgement of pest abundance is required to gauge the amount
of bait to apply.
POSSUM CONTROL: a lethal dose for a possum is 18g (approximately a
dessert spoon). Add at least this amount to each bait bag or
bait station.
RODENT CONTROL: a lethal dose for a rat is about 3g but depends on
bodyweight. For best results use 40g Feracol paste in bait stations
placed at 50m intervals in a grid pattern covering the entire area to
be treated. Check every 4 days and replace baits where required.
If possible avoid toxic treatments during breeding peaks.
