Summary of Product characteristics

BY LAW THE USER MUST TAKE CARE, OBTAINING EXPERT ADVICE WHEN
NECESSARY, TO AVOID
UNNECESSARY PAIN AND DISTRESS WHEN USING THE PRODUCT OTHER THAN AS
DIRECTED ON THE LABEL.
USE RATES: Typical use: Dilute 1 part FarmGuard Ultimate Teat Spray to
9 parts water for approx 3% emollient level. For severe weather
such as autumn and spring conditions: Dilute 1 part FarmGuard Ultimate
Teat Spray to 4 parts water for approx.10% emollient level.
USAGE INFORMATION:Up to 20% of emollients can be mixed with FarmGuard
Ultimate Teat Spray. For every extra part of emollient added to
an overall mixture a corresponding reduction in the water level must
be carried out to maintain sanitising ability i.e in an existing 1:9
formulation if adding 1 extra part emollient then the new formulation
would be 1 part FarmGuard Ultimate Teat Spray, 8 parts water & 1 part
emollient maintaining the overall 1:9 ratio. Chlorhexidine has good
activity against staphylococci, streptococci, pseudomonas,
coliforms and many yeasts and moulds.
FarmGuard Ultimate Teat Spray will not taint or leave detectable
residues in milk or milk products. It is non-irritant to cows’ teats
and milkers’
skin and is noncorrosive to metal and rubber.
HAZARD STATEMENTS:
6.3B - Substances that are mildly irritating to the skin.
8.3A - Substances that are corrosive to ocular tissue.
9.1C - Substances that are harmful in the aquatic environment.
DISPOSAL: Refer to local government authority for disposal
recommendations. Dispose of contents in accordance with
local/regional/national/international regulations. Containers can be
recycled through AgRecovery providing they are triple rinsed
beforehand.
FOR FIRE: Non combustible, however, if involved in a fire use an
extinguishing media suitable for the surrounding fire conditions.
FOR SPILLS: Clear area of all unprotected personnel. Slippery when
spilt. Wear protective equipment. Absorb with sand or soil.
Collect and seal in properly labelled drums or other suitable
