ELDOQUIN FORTE ® 4% CREAM (HYDROQUINONE , 4%) ELDOPAQUE FORTE ® 4% CREAM (HYDROQUINONE, 4%) FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY _R_ _X_ ONLY _ _ DESCRIPTION Hydroquinone is 1,4-benzenediol. Hydroquinone is structurally related to monobenzone. Hydroquinone occurs as fine, white needles. The drug is freely soluble in water and in alcohol and has a pK a of 9.96. Chemically, hydroquinone is designated as p-dihydroxybenzene; the empirical formula is C 6 H 6 O 2 ; the molecular weight is 110.1. The structural formula is: C 6 H 6 O 2 Each gram of Eldoquin Forte 4% Cream contains 40mg of Hydroquinone in vanishing cream base of purified water, stearic acid, propylene glycol, polyoxyl 40 stearate, polyoxyethylene (25) propylene glycol stearate, glycerol monostearate, light mineral oil, squalane, propylparaben and sodium metabisulfite. Eldoquin Forte 4% cream is a white, shiny, water washable, homogeneous cream free of lumps and black discoloration. Each gram of Eldopaque Forte 4% Cream contains 40 mg of Hydroquinone in a tinted cream base of purified water, stearic acid, talc, polyoxyl 40 stearate, polyoxyethylene (25) propylene glycol stearate, propylene glycol, glycerol monostearate, iron oxides, light mineral oil, squalane, edetate disodium, sodium metabisulfite and potassium sorbate.
