FOR ANIMAL TREATMENT ONLY Egg Drop Syndrome Vaccine - Vaccine Label Version 6 Egg Drop Syndrome Vaccine Active Constituent Killedavian haemagglutinating adenovirus (Ref: J8036/1) emulsified with a paraffin-oil adjuvant. Contains no greater than ten-ppm formaldehyde as a preservative. End of shelf life potency: Mean antibody titre is equal to or greater than 1:128 using HI testing or Guildhay EOS EIA assay. For use in the prevention of egg production drops in fowls associated with infection with avian haemagglutinating adenovirus. DIRECTIONS FOR USE Note: Not recommended for use in birds in or approaching lay. 1) Invert the container several times prior to use in order 10 achieve a uniform suspension of vaccine. 2) Use all vaccine within 8 hours of opening. 3) 0.5 mL per dose 4) Administer by intramuscular injection into the breast muscle. 5) Vaccinate birds from 12 to 18 weeks old. It is not recommended that birds be vaccinated within 3 weeks of commencement of lay. In itself, such a procedure is not expected to harm the birds in any way. but the handling of birds close to or in lay can disrupt egg production. Caution: avoid carcass damage 6) Sterilise all injection apparatus by boiling before use. Avoid use of strong disinfectants on apparatus. 7) Maintain cleanliness at all times. 8) Keep needles sharp and clean. Replace frequently. 9) Use needles of appropriate gauge and length. 10) As far as possible avoid injection of wet or heavily soiled animals. 11) This product must be injected only into muscle tissue. 12) Inject into breast muscle only. WITHHOLDING PERIOD, EGGS: NIL MEAT: DO NOT USE less than 10 weeks before slaughter for human consumption. STORAGE Store between 2'C and 8"C (Refrigerate. Do not freeze). DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS: Dispose of empty container by wrapping with paper and putting in garbage.
