DIRECTIONS FOR USE
RESTRAINTS:
DO NOT USE IN ANIMALS INTENDED FOR FOOD PRODUCTION, OR IN HORSES.
DO NOT USE IN GUINEA PIGS, HAMSTERS, RABBITS OR RUMINANTS.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
This product is contraindicated in animals with a known
hypersensitivity to clindamycin
or lincomycin.
PRECAUTIONS:
Clindamycin should not be used concomitantly with chloramphenicol or
macrolides (e.g.
erythromycin) as they antagonise each other at their site of action at
the 50S ribosomal
sub-unit.
Clindamycin possesses neuromuscular blocking activity and therefore
should be used
with caution with other neuromuscular blocking agents.
Periodic biochemistry and haematology tests should be performed during
prolonged
administration of this product if treatment is continued for one month
or longer.
Patients with severe renal and/or hepatic disorders should be dosed
with caution and
should be monitored closely.
