DRAMYLIN SYRUP
DRAMYLIN IS INDICATED FOR
•
Wet cough
•
Allergic symptoms as Allergic Rhinitis
•
Motion sickness symptoms like: nausea & vomiting
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
Unless prescribed by the physician DRAMYLIN syrup should be taken 3-4
times daily as the
following:
•
For adults: 1- 2 teaspoonfuls (5 – 10 ml).
•
For children from 6 – 12 years: one teaspoonful (5 ml).
DRUG KINETIC
DRAMYLIN is well absorbed from gastrointestinal tract. The maximum
effects of DRAMYLIN are
achieved between 1 – 4 hours & its effect lasts for 4 – 7 hours.
PRECAUTIONS / CONTRAINDICATIONS
•
Due to sedative effects of DRAMYLIN, it may affect your performance so
caution should be
taken during driving vehicles or operation machineries.
•
DRAMYLIN used cautiously in patients with Angle Closure Glaucoma,
Hyperthyroidism &
Peptic Ulcer.
•
DRAMYLIN is contraindicated in Hypersensitivity to Diphenhydramine,
Acute Asthma and
Neonates.
DRUG INTERACTIONS
•
CNS depressant may increase the degree of sedation and respiratory
depression.
•
Diphenhydramine may increase the absorption of Digoxin.
PRESENTATION:
DRAMYLIN syrup (13.5 mg / 5 ml): available in glass bottle of 120 ml
size.
