WHAT _DIPHENMIN _IS USED FOR
For control of cough and easing of nasal
stuffiness, sneezing, teary eyes and airway
congestion.
HOW _DIPHENMIN _WORKS
_Diphenmin _
contains diphenhydramine, an
antihistamine which helps to relieve
coughing and dry secretions in the nose
and chest.
BEFORE YOU USE _DIPHENMIN _
_- When you must not use it _

• Do not take
_ Diphenmin_
if allergic to its
active ingredient or to other ingredients
in it or other similar antihistamine.
• Not recommended for premature or full
term baby.
• Do not take if you are breastfeeding.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice
before taking any medicine.
_- Before you start to use it _
Not to be used in children less than 2
years of age. To be used with caution
and doctor’s or pharmacist’s advice in
children 2 to 6 years of age. Inform the
doctor or pharmacist if
• overactive thyroid gland
• heart and blood vessels related disease
• raised pressure in eyes
• high blood pressure
• asthma
• stomach ulcer
• stomach-intestine obstruction
• symptomatic enlarged prostate
• bladder neck obstruction
_- Taking other medicines _
Tell your doctor if you are taking any
other medicines e.g. anticholinergic,
tricyclic antidepressants or monoamine
oxidase (MAO) inhibitors that may
increase the effects of either medications.
Also including any medicine that you buy
without a prescription from a pharmacy,
supermarket or health food shop.
HOW TO USE _DIPHENMIN _
_- How much to use _
Adults: 1 – 2 teaspoons 3 – 4 times daily.
Children: ½ - 1 teaspoon 3 – 4 times
