Possible side effects 5 Storing DIACOL 1. WHAT DIACOL IS AND WHAT IS USED FOR DIACOL contains 27 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide per 15 ml of syrup. The other ingredients are_: _Sucrose, anhydrous citric acid, methyl-paraben; liquid orange flavour; ethanol 96%, purified water. PHARMACEUTICAL FORM: Diacol, syrup, bottle of 200 ml. Each box contains a dosing cup. PHARMACOTHERAPEUTIC CATEGORY: Antitussive. It is used for symptomatic treatment of non-productive cough due to irritation of upper and lower respiratory airways. BEFORE YOU TAKE DIACOL This medicine can lead to dependence. Therefore the treatment should be of short duration. DO NOT TAKE DIACOL: - if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to dextromethorphan hydrobromide or any of the other ingredients of DIACOL - if you have cough with sputum production. - if you are taking medicines belonging to the class of monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors.
