Q-Oss+ performs the role of structural supporter for new bone, and accelerates the generation of new bone. Interconnected micropores increase the bone substitute's surface area and solubility, as well as the resultant formation of biological apatite. The adjusted particle shape acts as macropores to facilitate body-fluid penetration, cell migration, and blood-vessel formation which progressively resorbed at the site of bone defects and allows the prompt regeneration of new bone. Synthetic bone substitute that can be used for bone transplantations in the field of dentistry, for the purpose of restoration and reinforcement of bone defects.
