Each device contains 1.72 G PROGESTERONE READ THE ENCLOSED LEAFLET BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT Contents: 1 Cue-Mare device for mares over 500 kg This product is not tested on ponies INDICATIONS: The device is used in conjunction with human chorionic gonadotropin and/or prostaglandin to deliver progesterone to achieve therapeutic effect for inducing cyclical ovarian activity in spring transitional mares. DIRECTIONS FOR USE CONTRAINDICATIONS: • Contraindicated for use in animals in poor condition, poor health or with abnormal vaginas. • Contraindicated for use in small maiden mares when application discomfort is evident. • Contraindicated for use in mares known to be susceptible to endometritis. CRITICAL COMMENTS: Cue-Mare consists of a “Wishbone” carrier body, two treatment pods and a tail. A reusable Applicator (available separately) is required for inserting the device. A sterile lubricant is required for inserting the devices and materials to hygienically prepare the perineum of the mare should also be on hand when inserting the device. _Spring transitional anoestrus in mares_ Insert Cue-Mare into the vagina using an Applicator. Monitor the mare twice daily for comfort and retention. After 7 days check the mare for follicular activity, withdraw the device if a follicle of >35 mm exists, or at 10 days post insertion. The mare may be injected with prostaglandin at the time of device withdrawal. When a follicle of >35 mm is detected inject the mare with 1500 IU human chorionic gonadotrophin and breed within the next 36 hours.
