"SEALING IN" GAS Immediately after injecting Chlorofume all soil must be sealed (with plastic sheets or malthoid on cracky ground) for 2 to 3 days. Generally it is sealed by watering with a full flow of water so top 20 mm becomes saturated and flows together. Repeat watering as often as needed to prevent escape of gas. AERATION After keeping "seal" intact for 2 to 3 days, allow soil to dry. Cultivate with a clean implement to break crust if needed and allow gas to escape. Do not plant until gas odour is no longer present in soil. Do not plant for at least 10 days after end of treatment, longer periods are safer. PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical or used containers. STORAGE AND DISPOSAL Store in a locked room or place away from children, animals, food, feedstuffs, seed and fertilisers. Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area.
