CALENDULA LOTION WELEDA Ref.No. U3459 Act 101/1965 CALENDULA LOTION Herbal Antiseptic Lotion COMPOSITION: Per 100 g Calendula Herba 20g INDICATIONS: 1) For external application to cuts, grazes and abrasions. 2) As a warm compress for boils, spots and abscesses. 3) As a mouthwash to combat gum infections and mouth ulcers. 4) As a general antiseptic. MODE OF ACTION: Calendula: Calendula contains salicylic acid, calenduline and saponine. The extract of leaves and flowers has a cleansing, disinfecting and healing effect when used externally. It can also be used as an antiseptic. DOSAGE: Not to be taken Unless otherwise directed, Add two 5 mL medicine measures (teaspoonsful) to 500 mL water. For a mouthwash add 1/2 5 mL medicine measure (teaspoonful) to 1/2 glass water and rinse mouth thoroughly several times. COMMENT: Useful as an antiseptic and mouthwash. If not diluted according to the directions it may cause stinging. It is the remedy of first choice for cleaning open wounds. If the wound is relatively deep, then apply Vulnodoron Ointment (Weleda) after cleansing with Calendula Lotion.
