BIOSPRAY 1% SOLUTION
DESCRIPTION AND COMPOSITION
BIOSPRAY 1% SOLUTION is a dark brown viscous solution antiseptic
spray. Each ml contains 10mg of
Iodine as its active ingredient.
PHARMACODYNAMICS
The product is an aqueous solution of povidone iodine, it has
antiseptic and antifungal properties of
iodine. It is also active on spore forms of bacteria, yeasts and
fungi.
PHARMACOKINETICS
The absorption of the povidone-iodine by the skin and mucous membranes
is virtually zero.
In contact with the tissues and mucous membranes, povidone iodine
complex dissociates and slowly
releases iodine prolonging the activity of the product.
INDICATION
As an aid in the treatment and control of bacterial infections of
superficial wounds, cuts and abrasions,
navel stumps, dockings, and castration wounds. Also, for disinfection
of skin areas prior to injections or
surgical procedures.
TARGET SPECIES
Cattle, horse, sheep and pigs.
RECOMMENDED DOSE
Holding the bottle upright and 15 cm from the skin spray a thin film
over the affected area by depressing
the pump.
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
External route.

CONTRAINDICATION
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or to
any of the excipients.

number of microorganisms.

INTERACTION WITH OTHER MEDICINAL PRODUCT
Do not use together with soaps, solutions and ointments containing
mercury derivatives.

The use of medication will depend on the assessment of the benefit /
risk carried by the veterinarian.
