20230816 WARNING KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN BENTAZONE 480 A selective post-emergence herbicide for use on onions, cereals, clover and grass seed crops, pasture, potatoes, soybeans, peas, lucerne and turf. Active ingredient: Contains 480 g/L bentazone as the sodium salt in the form of a soluble concentrate. HAZARD CLASSIFICATION: Eye irritation Category 2; Skin sensitisation Category 1; Hazardous to the aquatic environment chronic Category 3 TOXICITY WARNING: May cause serious eye irritation. May cause sensitization from prolonged skin contact. Avoid breathing spray mist or vapours. ECOTOXICITY Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Take all reasonable steps to ensure that the substance does not cause any significant adverse effects to the environment beyond the application area. Do not apply directly into or onto water. Avoid contamination of any water supply with product or empty container. PERSONAL PROTECTION: When mixing and applying wear appropriate protective clothing including overalls, impervious gloves and eye/face protection. Remove protective clothing and wash hands and exposed skin before meals and after work. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. STORAGE: Store in original container tightly closed and in a locked, dry, cool, well- ventilated area, away from foodstuffs. Storage must be in accordance with the current version of the New Zealand Standard for the Management of Agrichemicals (NZS8409). Stores containing more than 1000 L require signage, secondary containment and an emergency response plan. When stored appropriately this product should show no significant degradation for two years from the date of manufacture.
