BEAUGENIC
GENERAL INFORMATION
Beaugenic is a biologically based crop protection insecticide based on
the use
of indigenous strains of the fungus _Beauveria bassiana _selected for
their
biocidal activity on aphids, thrips and whitefly. Beaugenic
contains
the spores
(cfu; colony forming units) of the fungus _Beauveria bassiana. _Mixing
the
spores with water activates them and permits their germination on
contact
with the target insect. Fungal activity and infection causes the death
of the
target insect.
Beaugenic
contains 1 _x_10

cfu / gram _Beauveria bassiana_ conidia (K4B1) in
the form of wettable powder. (Approximately 136 g/kg w/w)
Food grade additives as wetting and flow agents (846 g/kg w/w)
WARNING

Beaugenic
is classified by the HSNO Act as hazardous substance.
HAZARD CLASS 9.1D; ECOTOXIC, SUBSTANCE DESIGNED FOR BIOCIDAL ACTION.

Beaugenic
is not to be applied to non-cultivated areas*.


The application of Beaugenic is restricted to ground-based application
to cultivated areas, such as horticultural crops, including perennial
crops, ornamentals, nurseries and greenhouses*.
