1. Inside Buildings - Paint a 7-10 cm. Band.

2. Outside Buildings - Paint a 15-20 cm. band

water. Paint bands completely around the undersides of all shelving

and counter tops, sides of drawers and cabinets (not inside) under and

around sinks, skirting boards, doors, bathroom vanities, window frames,

exterior thresholds and porches etc.

Food Handling

Establishments

eg. Bars, Restaurants,

Food Stores, Bakeries,

Canneries, etc.

Spot application and/or crack and crevice treatment only where pests

have been seen or are suspected of hiding or entering. eg. dark corners,

skirting boards, floor drains, etc.

NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE, OR IN ANY MANNER, CONTARARY TO THIS

LABEL UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION.

Re Entry to Treated Areas :

DO NOT permit re-occupation of any premises until the treated areas

are completely dry (normally 3 - 4 hours) and adequately ventilated.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

Killmaster is a ready-to-use slow release insecticide. Do not dilute or mix with water, oil or other

products. Treated surfaces should not be washed or cleaned for 36 hours after application.

Always ensure adequate ventilation when using.

Product will not stain or mar most clean surfaces, although it may cause blistering of freshly painted

surfaces, or it may leave a light film on glass, tile, metal or other non-porous surfaces. Exposed

surface of freshly glued fittings may be affected by the solvent. Avoid contact with vegetation.

APPLICATION:

Apply by brush, roller or handled sponge applicator, or use for crack and crevice treatment as a

coarse low pressure (150kPa or less) spray with equipment capable of delivering a pin stream of

insecticide directly into openings leading to voids and hollow spaces in walls and floors, into

equipment legs and bases, or at joints between floors and walls, or similar situations. DO NOT

spray into the air.

Use equipment with plastic rather than rubber hoses, since the solvents may affect rubber. Prior to

application, de-energise equipment and allow time for solvent to evaporate before starting.

DO NOT apply Product on or near flames or heated surfaces.

DO NOT treat electrical fittings as stress cracking will occur.

In cases of severe pest infestation, it is suggested that a flushing insecticide be used immediately

after a Killmaster application

, to drive insects out of hiding places and into contact with Killmaster

treated surfaces. (Insecticides such as pyrethrins are suitable flushing sprays). In the event of

suspected re-infestation, this flushing treatment may be used to locate harbourage areas which may

have previously gone undiscovered.

PRECAUTIONS:

DO NOT spray directly onto humans. Do not contact food, food utensils and food preparation

surfaces. DO NOT apply around refrigerator doors. Keep closed during treatment. DO NOT use in

animal buildings, poultry houses, or the edible product areas of food processing plants. DO NOT

allow children or pets to come in contact with treated areas until thoroughly dry.

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIROMENT:

Dangerous to fish. DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical or used

containers.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:

Store in the closed original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not store for prolonged

periods in direct sunlight.

Triple rinse or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Dispose of rinsings in a disposal

pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose, clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree

roots.

Break, crush or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is

available, bury the containers below 500 mm in a disposal pit. Empty containers and product

should not be burned.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS:

Will damage the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Will irritate the nose and throat.

Do not inhale vapour or spray mist. When opening the container and using the product wear cotton

overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist and a washable hat, elbow length PVC gloves, goggles and a

half facepiece respirator with organic vapour/gas cartridge or canister. If product or spray in eyes

wash it out immediately with water. If product on skin, immediately wash area with soap and water.

Wash hands after use. After each days use wash gloves, goggles, contaminated clothing and

respirator and if rubber wash with detergent and warm water.

FIRST AID:

If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre phone 131 126. If swallowed,

do NOT induce vomiting. Give one atropine tablet every 5 minutes until dryness of the mouth

occurs. If poisoned by skin absorption or through lungs, remove any contaminated clothing, wash

skin thoroughly and give Atropine tablets as above. Get to a doctor or hospital quickly. If in eyes,

hold eyes open, flood with water for at least 15 minutes and see a doctor.

12. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

The following information relates to chlorpyrifos, the active ingredient of this product.

ACUTE

Chlorpyrifos is an organo-phosphate insecticide and will inhibit cholinesterase. Symptoms of overexposure to the active constituent may

include headaches, dizziness, incoorodination, muscle twitching, tremors, nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, sweating, constrictive

pupils, and blurred vision, and salivation, tightness of the chest, excessive urination and convulsions.

SWALLOWED

The acute oral toxicity of the active constituent is high with reported LD measurements for the active 115 mg/Kg. Injury or death may

occur from the ingestion of the concentrate. If the concentrate enters the lungs, lung damage may occur due to chemical pneumonia

caused by the solvents. Solvent is irritating to the gastro-intestinal tract and maybe harmful if swallowed.

CHRONIC

Rats and mice which were administered the active ingredient in long term studies showed no increase in tumours compared to the control.

Studies in rats and rabbits indicate that the active constituent does not cause birth defects or interfere with reproduction. May cause

damage to internal organs through prolonged or repeated exposure and is a suspected human carcinogen.

13. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION

The following information relates to chlorpyrifos, the active ingredient of this product.

HSNO CLASSIFICATION

very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects

LC50 of 0.0004 mg/L for fish

EC50 of 0.000058 mg/l in crustacean

toxic to soil environments

toxic to terrestrial vertebrates LD50 of 8.4 mg/kg body weight in

birds

toxic to terrestrial invertebrates LD50 of 0.059

g/honeybee

DEGRATION & PERSISTENCE:

Chlorpyrifos degrades slowly in soil under both aerobic and

anaerobic conditions. It has a halflife of 60-120 days. There is

potential for chlorpyrifos sorbed to soil to run off into surface water

via erosion, given that it has low water solubility (0.4 mg/L) and

high soil binding capacity.

Chlorpyrifos has a high potential for bioaccumulation. It has been

detected in fish tissues and chlorpyrifos residues in aquatic species

may result in dietary exposure for aquatic birds and mammals

feeding on aquatic organisms.

14. DISPOSAL

WASTE DISPOSAL METHOD:

Dispose according to applicable local and state government regulations.
